For the past 3 months, I have been running close to 2-3 miles mostly every day. Only lately have I been feeling a bit weak and have been getting some bruises. I think i may have iron-deficiency. My question is, If i take Centrum, a multivitamin supplement, as well as iron-rich foods would my symptoms as well as iron deficiency go away on its own without resulting to medicine from the hospital itself?
Extra supplements would definitely help. Maybe instead of multivitamins buy an iron supplement

You can try it out. My mom is anemic and she would take specific iron supplements to boost her iron. They are hard on the stomach, though, and you need to take them with Vitamin C. If you aren’t too far gone, try the vitamins and get some iron through diet and see if that does the trick. If not, you should make an appointment with your doctor.

All women should take a iron supplement. Centrum does have the minimum requirement of iron. The minimum is what you need to just survive, not what you need for optimum health.
Are you sure anemia is what your problem is? You should go to a doctor for some simple bloodwork to find out what is causing your tiredness, there are several other causes. One of them being dehydration which you can help by drinking more water.

have an iron supplement or iron-rich multivitamin. and don’t worry about having too much iron because if your body is lacking iron it will absorb more iron and if it’s fulfilled on iron it will absorb less iron.
