I am tired all the time and have all the symptoms of anemia but my blood is really red. so what’s wrong !?

I also have a massive phobia of needles so im really scared of going to the doctor for a blood test. Help!
you can have your urine tested aswell, don’t worry but talk everything through with your doctor! the symptoms for anemia and diabetes are very similar!

You can’t tell whether you’re anemic from the color of your blood. Besides, being tired can be caused by things other than anemia. So you really do need to see your doctor.

My best guess would be mono. I had (and still have) it and I was super tired all the time. Unfortunately the best thing to go is go see you doctor and find out if it is mono. Otherwise the only other option is blood work. If you’re lucky it might be something that can be done with a saliva swab. REGARDLESS IT IS NECESSARY THAT YOU GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR BECAUSE IT COULD BE SOMETHING SERIOUS! MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH YOUR DOCTOR AND GET IN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

the doctor will also know other signs of anaemia, such as pallor of the conjunctiva so can look for them too…
