Is eating lemons unhealthy for someone with Iron Deficiency Anemia?

July 2nd, 2010 by admin

I’m pretty skinny for my age and I have iron deficiency anemia. I love eating lemons but whenever i do my mom yells at me saying that it sucks the iron out of my blood and makes me skinny?
Is this true? Is eating too many lemons unhealthy?

According to this resource, it is the opposite, beneficial, assisting "absorption of Vitamin C".
