Does anemia improve without treatment?

June 19th, 2010 by admin

I went to give blood about 3 years ago and the doctor told me I was slightly anemic( wasn’t my regular doctor). I never brought it up to my regular doctor. Can it get better without treatment?

Being a blood donor is ok. I have donated blood 3 times already with 4 months interval. The common cause of anemia is iron deficiency. Just take vitamins with iron, sleep early don’t stay up late. Eat a lot of green leafy vegetables.

well that was 3 years ago! you probably are not anemic now. you may have been just a bit under the weather at that time or hadn’t had enough iron. its easy to bring the iron level up without treatment as such. by eating healthy and sleeping enough.

A good diet should prevent anemia, increase Fe intake and you should be fine.
